On the way, pass the neo-Gothic Town Hall and the impressive Austrian Parliament Building. Continue through the Volksgarten, check out Heroes Square, and pass the Hofburg Palace. Listen to your guide's commentary on the history, culture, and people of Vienna as you walk around Burggarten, the former Emperor's private garden, and the Augustinian Church. End with visits to St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Vienna State Opera, and the bustling Graben shopping street. Your tour ends at St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna's most famous landmark; you are free to explore further on your own from there.

Maria-Theresien-Platz is a large public square between Ringstrasse and the Museumsquartier. Facing each other from the sides of the square are two twin buildings, the Natural History Museum and the Art History Museum. Square is decorated by the grand statue of empress Maria Theresa.

The Ringstrasse is a circular grand boulevard that serves as a road around the historic central part of Vienna. Ringstrasse replaced the medieval city fortifications in the second half of 19th century. Today it is a beautiful complex of grand buildings including City Hall, Parliament, Burgtheater, Vienna State University, State Opera and many more. Historic Ring Road style is using elements of Classical, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Ringstrasse is designated by UNESCO as a part of Vienna’s World Heritage Site.

Secret gem is the monument for of Archduchess Maria Christine by Antonio Canova, a masterwork of classicism sculpture.

Group was small which was good for navigating around the sights of Vienna. Pace of walk was good. Guide very informative when you could hear her. I would have given more stars if there were earphones provided to get a fuller experience.
