Departure Time

6:00 AM
While your ship is in St. Petersburg, meet your guide at the cruise terminal arrivals hall. If your stop in St. Petersburg is for two days, your tour will take place on your first day, and you will fly to Moscow before returning to St. Petersburg by high-speed Sapsan train. If your ship is docked for three days, your tour will occur on the second day, and you will make the round-trip to Moscow by Sapsan train.

On meeting your guide, hop inside a private, air-conditioned Mercedes minivan, and travel to St. Petersburg station or airport depending on whether you’re on a 2- or 3-day cruise stop. Then, take a short flight or train ride to Moscow.

On arrival, meet your guide and set off on your walking tour, starting at the Kremlin, the seat of the Russian president. Stroll around the grounds of this massive complex, learning how its walls and towers were built in the 15th century, and how, by the 18th and 19th centuries, they enclosed palaces, churches, and arsenals.

Visit the Assumption Cathedral, the coronation site of Russia’s tsars, and see inside the Archangel Cathedral, where many tsars are buried. View the Tsar Bell and Tsar Cannon, and explore the Armory Museum, home to stunning collections of tsarist regalia, including crowns, weapons, and Fabergé eggs.

Then, take a guided stroll around Moscow’s historical center. Admire the onion-shaped domes of St. Basil’s Cathedral in Red Square, and walk to Manezhnaya Square, home of the Zero-Kilometer marker. View the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Alexander Garden, and wander along Arbat Street, passing souvenir stalls, cafés, and street artists.

Later, return to St. Petersburg by high-speed train, finishing your trip with a late-evening drop-off at the port.

Please note: this tour is available daily, excluding Thursdays.

Packed informative day to remember
Victoria O
, Sep 2019
We chose this excursion the first day of 2 in St. Petersburg cruise port. It was well worth the cost. Transportation and timing was stress free and efficient. Just tell the crew you are going to Moscow and you get off the ship with the early groups. It was a great way to see Moscow and we learned much about Russian people and society along with seeing the amazing landmarks.

We loved this tour. Our time was limited so this was a great way to see everything we wanted to see and travel to Moscow. Anton picked us up from the terminal, flew with us where we met Max in Moscow who showed us all around all the highlights of Moscow. Then we met back up with Anton who rode the train back to St. Petersburg with us. Definitely do this tour.

This is the best excursion we have...

This is the best excursion we have taken!!! When we went down from the cruise, we went through customs and immigration and a person was already waiting for us with a sign. They took us to the airport on a Mercedes van and a guide Olga came with us during the flight. After an hour we arrived in Moscow and another Mecedes van was waiting for us. They drove us throughout the city and we got a glimpse of all the important sites in Moscow. They dropped us off at the Kremlin and gave us an extense visit of all the main churches and buildings there. Then we visited the Red Square and St Basil Cathedral. We chose to skip lunch so we could visit the Space Museum. It was very interesting and we really loved it. After an hour-visit, we went to the rail station by metro.... what a beautiful subway they have! We stepped into our Sapsan train to get back to St Petersburg where our cruise was. We highly recommend this tour for anyone who takes a cruise and stops 2 days in St Petersburg. The guides of Ulko Tours were very professional . Thanks for everything.
