A Day in St. Petersburg
Rebecca Q
, Jul 2019
This tour went to many places we wanted to see in one day. They came to the cruise terminal to pick us up and drop us off. It was nice to be able to go right in to a tour without waiting in line. Our guide was informative and of course she was familiar with her city! She was in contact with the driver so he was there to pick us up at the end of each activity. We felt safe at all times. I would recommend this to anyone.

Our 8 hour tour with Olga was great. She is one of the best tour guides we have ever had. Extremely knowledgeable, personal, and flexible. Her tour of St. Petersburg of our family of six was a highlight of our cruise.

An Unforgettable Amazing Tour!

, May 2019
I originally booked this tour because it offered a one on one experience that would take us to the most amount of places. What we received was beyond any expectation that I had for this tour. Our guide, Kathryn met us at the port with a sign and guided us to our waiting driver and vehicle. They had bottled water for us, which was a great amenity. We started the day at the Church on Spilled Blood followed by Mikhailovsky Castle, the Winter Palace, Hermitage and then St. Icaak. There was not one moment where Kathryn wasn't talking about the history of each of these places. She was a walking historian and provided us with more information than I could have ever imagined! This made the day so much more than what I was expecting. We also asked to be taken for a local snack...the Russian pancakes and local cranberry drink were delicious! Before heading out to the Peterhof Palace we stopped at the perfect gift shop to pick up our girls some very nice local souvenirs at great prices! We also had some regional vodka, which was a cute touch at the gift shop since we LOVE vodka:) Once we got to the Peterhof we walked through the Palace and then went out to the gardens and fountains. I would love to go back during the month of late June and early July as I am sure the gardens would be in full bloom and be absolutely stunning. We have been on a lot of tours through our travels, but I can say without certainty, there couldn't have been anything done better on this tour! If you don't book this tour you would be missing out on so much! The owner, Misha, left us a gift in the car which was a great end to this tour! Thank you for a tour of a lifetime in our eyes!

Exceptional experience in St. Petersburg
Joseph_O
, Jun 2018
Viator assigned our group of six to Horosho Tours who handled everything expertly from blanket visas to luxury transportation. Most important was our guide Katiana, she was fluent in English and exceedingly knowledgeable regarding her city and all it's attractions. And, she gave us a candid insight into what life in Russia was like over the past 40 years. The Hirosho team deserves all the accolades bestowed on them in reviews of them and the company. I am happy to add my full endorsement to this topshelf company. Viator made an excellent choice when they added Hirosho Tours to the list of tour companies with whom they contract for St. Petersburg tours.

Misha Horosho organized our tour of six on May 31, 2017. He guided us through the processes including a weather update a couple days before the tour so that we could be adequately dressed. The Tour Guide was excellent. We were able to see and stop for photos at various places. We stopped by sphinxes near the spit of Vasilevsky Island, Fortress of Saints Peter and Paul, The Savior on Spilled Blood, the log cabin of Peter the Great, the cruiser ship Aurora, the Catherine the Great monument, Arts Square, Alexandrinsky Theatre, Ostrovsky Square, the National Library, St Nicholas Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral and the Russian Museum. We drove along Nevsky prospect, etc., etc.. The Hermitage Museum visit was one of the important highlights of the trip. The journey to Peterhof was good. We were able to see a bit more of the country other than St. Petersburg. At Peterhof, we spent quite a bit of time walking around, enjoying the gardens, various buildings, the Grottos of Grand Cascade, etc.. That was also one of the most important highlights. We thank you for this memorable tour. There were only positives, given the weather.

Our hosts Katia and Alexi were very gracious. Despite poor weather and large crowds, we were able to cover a great deal of ground in one day. Katia's English was excellent and she explained many nuances that we would not have known otherwise. Definitely recommend!
