  • The tour reservations have strict timing. To join the tour, you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 15 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
  • If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
  • Knees & Shoulders MUST be covered for both men & women to enter the Sistine Chapel!
  • Please note that on the day of your visit certain areas of the monument/attraction can be closed due to either religious events and national holidays.
  • Stroller accessible

  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Please be advised capacity regulations and security may delay the tour departure This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays and events.
  • Cancellations, changes or issues due to weather, security and events held by the monument are beyond our control and are directly decided by their administration team. These issues will be reviewed by us and dealt with on an individual basis but are the responsibility of the monument.
  • All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security.
  • The exact timings and reservations can vary, dependant on the monument/attraction’s administration offices availabilities and decisions on the booking day and can be subject to last minute changes. Departure time can differ up to 20 minutes from your selected time.
  • Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair.
  • Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.
  • Students booking a reduced ticket must have a photo ID, you must bring a photo ID to be allowed into the monument.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers

Debra was absolutely amazing. Both my 10 and 14 year old loved this tour. She provided us with so much knowledge and had great humor. She helped find shade in the very hot weather. She was vety mindful of the the weather. We highly recommend her.

Christine was an excellent tour guide. It would take days to see everything, so she pointed out the highlights. She sat us down and gave us a comprehensive explanation of the Sistine Chapel and of the life of Michelangelo with pictures from a book. She doesn’t accompany the group into the chapel because there is no talking or picture taking inside. She gives you the option to remain in the museum and look around more without a guide. This tour does not include a guided tour of the basilica. She leads you to the entrance and then your on your own. If you want to see more, allow yourself a lot of time. The crowds are massive.

Our tour guide was originally from the States and our group were all from US as well. Christina Swain was incredibly bright, in-depth, knew her stuff inside and out, was funny and just maneuvered us so well. I highly recommend this tour as it will give you an excellent introduction to the museums and allow you to skip the lines which are incredibly lengthy.

We visited the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel on a very hot day but Christina quickly navigated the way. She was well-organized, told us what to expect, and pointed out opportunities for water, snacks, or restrooms. She found comfortable places to give us information and is clearly experienced and knowledgeable about Italian history and art. Christina has a terrific personality and is pleasant to listen to as she shares fascinating facts and details. The location of the tour start was close the Vatican museum entrance. Part of the tour was air conditioned but the temperature was fine. The tour finishes with a skip the line entrance to the Basilica which is nice. We strongly recommend this guide for a tour.

I’m glad I had the experience to visit, but will def do a self-guided tour next time if there is a next time. Would also go not during peak season. It was hot and stuffy and hard to really take anything visually and audio-wise from our tour guide. Tour guide also did a poor job of having some kind of visible staff or marker with her - we eventually got lost from the group and didn’t make it into the basilica. If you are going during peak season - def have a fan and wear breathable clothes. That will have been half the battle!

Unfortunately we can not control the weather or climate inside the Vatican. Wearing breathable clothes and brining a fan during mid summer in the Mediterranean is not something we can do for you. The fact that you could not take anything away from the tour guide audibly or visually is down to you and I think very unfair on them that you rated them so badly because you were hot and unable to pay attention. The only people to lose the tour group were yourselves, so I am sure it's not the guides fault for not being visible.
