Corning Glass Museum

The museum is a HUGE place with lots to see. 6 hours there & we didn't see everything, so we will def be back. ♿ Accessible with some wheelchairs at entrances. Mobility impaired people def need one, so bring yours. Shuttles (every 15-20 mins) from 2 overflow FREE parking lots do have chair, scooter lifts & take you directly to ticket entrance. Highly suggest this. The artist's glass demos are all day long in diff areas & very entertaining! Map & times supplied upon entering. Massive sized CMOG store, Cafe with drinks, snacks food to order. Make your own glass is available for extra fee & spots must be reserved in advance. It is very popular & for all ages. Masks 100% required, monitored social distancing, sanitizing stations throughout. Excellent place to visit!

Even in the Time of COVID, the glass museum felt like a safe place to visit. The museum is beautiful and the collection of contemporary art as well as history is a joy to see. Thinking about human history is a good thing to do during this time. I would like to visit again because there is so much to see!

Staff wasn’t nice

It says on their website that it’s kid friendly, I did not see that in any way. My 3 yr old did not enjoy this at all, at one point he was running in an open empty area (with no glass or people nearby) and the worker came over telling us “please tell you your child that is a museum and not a gymnasium”. I wouldn’t call that kid friendly. My 5 year old was having a very hard time with breathing and wasn’t feeling her best from the mask wearing. If the place isn’t full and we can practice social distancing then why are we demanded to wear masks? The hotel around the corner only demanded mask wearing if you can’t social distance. That makes more sense to the human brain. Had we known about this we would NOT have come to this museum. My kids did not like this place at all. We told them we’ll stay just for one show and as soon as that was over we had to leave. Kids couldn’t handle the masks so long. 5 minutes in, my brothers eye glasses got foggy from the mask so he moved it down a bit and it went under his nose. A worker came running towards us, he looked so excited to have the opportunity to tell him that he must pull his mask over his nose. And also said “if I’m gonna need to keep telling you, you will have to leave” Seems like they hired people for this job specifically. And then the one showing the demonstration was wearing his mask OFF HIS NOSE (I took a photo for reference!) so this is clearly not about our health. What is going on??
