Beautiful trip but needed different bikes

The excursion was a bike tour to I think 3 lighthouses. The scenery was beautiful and we had a good day. The bikes were old and “beach cruiser “ type bikes but you really needed a nicer bike. Two people from our groups knees were hurting after the excursion and we are active people. The trip was 10 miles which, I think, is better suited to a different bike. At the last stop had lobster rolls from vendor -those were delicious. Wish I could give this a higher rating.

This was a fantastic experience! Not only did we see 4 lighthouses, we learned a lot about the city and Casco Bay. I particularly enjoyed biking through the beautiful South Portland community. Leah was our guide and she was kind, knowledgeable, and very patient with a novice bike rider like me! It was a great way to spend the afternoon. And lunch at the Portland Head Lighthouse was delicious. Highly recommend!

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the three-hour bike tour. Ross was super welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The bike ride itself was so much fun and the views you come upon are gorgeous. And the lobster rolls for lunch were the cherry on top. I would highly recommend exploring South Portland in this fashion.

Kyle was an amazing tour guide. This was our favorite experience from our trip to Portland! The bikes took some getting used to, but I haven’t rode a bike in a decade. The hills are no joke, so be ready.

Amazing trip with Kate as our knowledgeable tour guide. She made sure everyone’s bike fit each person. Cared about each of us and stopped frequently to explain history along the way. We saw 3 lighthouses in our 3 hour tour. We highly recommend the lobster roll at the end. Amazing trip all around.

Our bike ride was such a great way to learn about and explore South Portland and the lighthouses. Our guide was knowledgeable and easy going. The ride is mostly flat but there are some inclines. She was great at going slow when we needed it. This was my favorite excursion during our Portland stay. Also, if you are a walker you might enjoy walking over the bridge to South Portland. The steps from the bridge lead right to Ocean street where the bike shop is located. If you have time walk down the street to the BenReuben’s Knishery for delicious knishes.

Lighthouse adventure

The guides were very friendly, helpful and informative, explaining the geography, history and local information as we toured. The only downside was the style and heavy weight of the bicycles, which made ascending even mild hills fairly difficult. Basic Trek hybrid bikes would be a better option.

Wet and wild adventure

My best friend and I did a mini road trip of the New England states. We booked a whale watching tour for the time we spent in Maine but it was canceled do to weather so we did the bike your instead.... Not thinking about weather when booking it was pouring rain in the morning of our tour. Our instructor Ben called me to see if we were still interested because he wouldn't mind showing us the beautiful lighthouses Maine has to offer. We showed up ponchos in hand and ready for a wet and wild adventure. We had no idea it was an 11 mile bike tour... neither of us had been on a bike in more than 20 years but still we were determined to do something in the state for our road trip. It was challenging and pushed us further than we would have gone if Ben wasn't watching. He was so sweet and understanding when I was panting and breathing like a dog on a super hot day. We were soaked to the bone, hair a mess but had the adventure we were looking for. Thanks so much 10 out of 10 would recommend!!
