Excellent food in Oslo

Ivana was a fantastic guide to delicious foods in Oslo. My wife and I were lucky enough to be the only couple on the tour, and we enjoyed every minute of the walking, the talking, and the eating and drinking. Highly recommended!

Our guide was excellent and delightful. It was a fun small group and exploring Oslo’s culture, history, and food was interesting. The waffle with “caramel” cheese was delicious.

Rain Did Not Dampen Our Taste Buds!

Our guide made the tour a lot of fun -- even though the weather in Oslo that day was miserable! The portion sizes at the places we stopped were very generous - and delicious. The group itself was interesting. Our tour guide was actually from Croatia (but had been living in Oslo for some time.) Other participants were a young woman from Paris and a man from Australia. (We are from the US.) Made for an interesting mix - very international.

A must do food tour of Oslo

Our guide, despite being from the USA, made this tour an exceptional tour. We enjoyed traditional Norwegian cuisine, some with a little fusion, and the food was amazing! The tour was also not all food as we were taken to various historical sites along the walk and given little history tidbits which made it interesting. A must do if it's with Cherrie (think that's her name...lol)

The perfect way to start a vacation in Oslo
Joyce H
, Dec 2019
We decided to start our vacation with a food tour, and we're very glad we did. Our tour happened to be on Thanksgiving. The rest of the tour had 3 other Americans. Ivana, our guide wished us a happy Thanksgiving. I thought that was especially nice since Thanksgiving is not a Norwegian holiday. She was great with each stop, giving us a bit of history of what we were eating, and let us know how each dish is typically eaten. The walking part of the tour was interesting as well, and she gave us interesting info about buildings, and the neighborhoods we passed along the way. As stated in the information about the tour, there is some walking, and it isn't all flat walking, but we didn't find it to be at all strenuous. In fact, with all the food we ate, it was really nice to be able to do some walking between each tasting. Ivana was friendly, knowledgable and enjoyable to talk to. It really was a great way to start our week in Oslo. I highly recommend this tour.
