Begin your comprehensive self-guided tour of Norway from the Oslo Train Station. When booking, provide your hotel details, and your package of transportation tickets will be dropped off at your hotel. Departure times vary depending on the time of year.

Climb aboard the Bergen Railway and travel west to Myrdal, where you'll disembark and change to the  Flåm Railway. Keep your camera handy for sweeping views of Norway's wilderness and the fjords.

Transfer to a boat for a fjord cruise on the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord. Both offer terrific views, and the Nærøyfjord is one of Europe's narrowest, included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Step off your cruise in Gudvangen, where you'll climb aboard a bus for a trip through Nærøydalen's mountain scenery and quaint villages. Seasonally (summer), the bus will take on the steep and winding Stalheimskleiva to Voss, where you'll take the Bergen Railway back to Bergen.

This tour is entirely self-guided, and you can move at your own pace.

Great travel through the...

Great travel through the Fjord!! I recommend it, it’s very beautiful despite a long way to get to Flam.
strongly recommend BUT earlier Oslo S departure would be much better

fjord from electric ferry and view from bus on route to Voss. also views from flam railway particularly bikers
Gorgeous views; buy your own tickets
, Jul 2022
The best part of this trip is the gorgeous ferry through the fjords. The flam railway is also beautiful and even stops for you to take a photo of the waterfall. I booked this last minute and had I not, I would have just bought the 5 different tickets direct from public transportation for half the price. I also would have just taken the ferry from flam all the way to Bergen rather than get off and take a bus and train after to Bergen (I didn’t know this was a possibility but couldn’t do that booking with this tour). Also, it says it starts at 8 AM which I thought was perfect. It does not; you’re supposed to be to the train station for a 6:22 AM train and don’t get to Bergen until 9PM so a very long day. The tour company is probably charging double what you’d pay for the tickets alone and there is no guide so no benefit to buying from them apart from them purchasing it all for you but if you have time to sit on your computer and book the tickets; it’s super easy to navigate so do that instead and take the long ferry so you only have 2 trains and 1 ferry instead of 3 trains, a bus and a ferry. Regardless, the sites are gorgeous and I recommend the scenery!
Great trip and great views

The trip was great, and offered some amazing scenery to look at. With the scheduling, the transitions between the different legs of the journey all worked out well. It does become quite a bit for one day, but is well worth it.

Self Guided Fjord tour to Bergen is a Price Performer
, Jun 2022
For a self guided tour it was very well put together and explained. The trip started very early, but once on the train you could sleep for a few hours until you got to the transfer. The Flam railroad down to Flam from Myrdal was very nice, it's open seating, try to grab a seat on the left hand side facing in the opposite direction of how you have been traveling from Oslo. That will give you a forward facing seat with the best views. Once in Flam, don't waste your time in the shops, much more expensive than in Oslo and not as good a selection. Treat yourself to a nice lunch at the Marina Restaurant, great shrimp Caesar salad, the fish soup was delicious. Wines were a reasonable price. The fjord cruise on the all electric Future of the Fjord was amazing. Quiet, stable amazing views. Best two hours of our time in Norway. The bus ride out was nothing special, the side trip to the hotel is a selfie moment, no big deal. By the time you are on the train to Bergen you are pretty burnt out, it's pretty but can't compete with the cruise. Once in Bergen you are on your own.

Very nice experience by train, boat, bus.fiam tour was best and scenic .we enjoyed our whole day journey
Great experience but make sure people know it does not return to Oslo
, Apr 2022
The experience was great, the views unforgettable, communication via email prompt and helpful. The instructions were precise and easy to follow. One notable exception: it wasn’t very obvious that the tour (listed under day trips from Oslo) did not return to Oslo. It ended in Bergen, on the other side of the country, and at that time (the trip lasts all day) there are not many ways to return to Oslo. Yes, yes, there is a tiny sentence at the very end of the instructions that says that, but it is very, very easy to miss it. Other than that this is absolutely great.

Dear Maria, Thank you for sharing your opinion. You have noted a quite important detail, so we would make sure that it's clear from the product description that the tour is one-way. I'm glad you have enjoyed it! Best Regards, Elena
Outstanding journey to see Norway!
, Oct 2019
This trip sets you up to give you a taste of a variety of places in Norway! Leaving Oslo, the train ride will take you up to experience the Flam railroad, one of the most scenic railroads on earth, then you'll be bussed down for a riverboat cruise through one of the fjords. Scenic is an understatement!

What an awesome trip! Got to see so many amazing landscapes. Doing it all in one day is very exhausting though, I would recommend spending one night in Flåm to break it up into a two day excursion. It’s so so beautiful there, so you wouldn’t regret it!

We really enjoyed the self guided tour. Step by step instructions were provided on email prior to arriving in Norway. I had some questions the night before and the local guide was very accommodating and went over everything with me by phone. Highly recommend this self-guided tour for people who like to manage on their own.

The local tour guide in Oslo, Ivan...
, Jul 2017
The local tour guide in Oslo, Ivan did a great job! he did what he said he would and was responsive to my email questions. It is a LONG day and we are fit, so once you get to Bergen, if you can, stay the night. Lots of nice hotels close enough to walk from the train station or take the tram to the end of the line, which saves you a few blocks of toting bags. There are a number of 'fjords' that the tour outfits go through and this one is nice not the one that they write about in the tour book, Sognefjord, but great nonetheless.

Take this self-guided Oslo to Bergen...
Dave L
, Jun 2017
Take this self-guided Oslo to Bergen tour if you need to get from Oslo to Bergen within a day. Ivan and Artus were excellent in arranging the tour and going out of their way to provide top-class service. Well done Ivan and Artus!! From Oslo to Flam, the scenery between Geilo to Myrdal is quite amazing - lakes, snow-capped mountains and partially frozen rivers even in early summer! If the tour allows, would recommend staying overnight at Flam before continuing to Bergen the following morning for a more leisurely journey. If staying over at Flam, a must see side trip is Stegastein Viewpoint, a half hour bus ride from Flam.
