  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. The tour departs promptly and if late, you will NOT be able to catch up and will miss the tour. There are no refunds for missing the tour.
  • Please note the 8:30am tour will have the least wait. Later tours will encounter longer wait times.
  • The guided portion of the tour is approximately 4-hours, however it is recommended to allow at least 1 additional hour to fully experience Ellis Island. Return to Battery Park is at the participants own leisure.
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately.
  • This tour is not wheelchair accessible
  • Food available for purchase on the ferry, at the Statue of Liberty, and on Ellis Island.
  • Security screening will take place prior to entering the ferry. Visitors to the park are required to undergo airport-style security screening.
  • Backpacks and other large items must be checked into lockers on Liberty Island. These lockers are available for $2.00 per locker. This fee is not included.
  • Photographs are permitted, tripods and monopods are prohibited.
  • Children 3 and under free with paid adult ticket.
  • Tickets are valid from 180 days from departure date selected. Only valid if standard flex line tickets purchased.
  • If Statue of Liberty Guided Tour Upgrade is selected you will receive your tickets on the day of your tour. These tickets are only valid on the departure date selected.
  • Service animals allowed
  • Near public transportation
  • Transportation is wheelchair accessible
  • Strollers, suitcases, or other large items that do not fit in a locker will have to be left outside the pedestal at the guest’s own risk. We recommend not bringing large items if possible.

First they said that they would send the tickets 24h before by email and I never received anything, I was luck to click on a contact tour operation option and fund the QR code. Then, they say to wait a guide on certain place on certain time and nobody never arrived and I tried to call and send message and nobody answered, actually they answered but when the tour already finished, so no help. The good thing was that my friend and I just entered with the QR code that we found lucky and that’s it. Viator didn’t help at all.

We paid the extra for a guided tour which made the experience so much more fulfilling and entertaining. Our guide was incredibly attentive and educational. Even the gentleman inside Lady Liberty was cheerfully enthusiastic about pointing out the inside structure and how progressive it was for it's time. All and all, a memorable experience!
