DO NOT BOOK!! I book this tour waited at the scheduled location and pick up point and no one showed up. When I called the company they said they cancelled. They company didn’t send me any notification and then said I could not get a refund. Avoid booking anything with this company!!!!
Worthy of the Ride
, Nov 2019
this tour was so exciting and very well laid out. I upgraded to the 48 hour hop on hop off and that also insured you never got the same guide. I can honestly say out of the 6 guides only one was lacking and negative. So going in with the expecataion that all NY'ers are rude, negative and distant, I was proven wrong. They each told the history of NYC and the sights we passed with a slight different version which made it a very interesting tour. Buses were clean and I felt safe with each driver.
Tour was good but lot of misleading information in the ticket
, Sep 2019
Operator of the tour was Grayline. The actual tour was good. In 90 minutes almost every must see places were shown in NYC. I gave three star because the ticket we bought online through viator gave us old address of the departure point. We had to call Grayline customer care to find the new address of the departure point. Though we were at the departure point in time, we had to wait for more than an hour to get on the bus as our timings was overbooked. Grayline sent another bus.
What I would expect for a NYC Tourist Trap
, Aug 2019
Price was good, but the actual trip was typical of a tourist destination in NYC. People running the operation at the actual site didn't seem to know the process, and I wasn't even sure if they understood English. But our biggest frustration came with the pre-recorded city narration. The bus driver must have repeatedly hit the buttons at the wrong times as we heard the same location description twice (on many occasions) and sometimes the wrong description, like China Town when we weren't even near China Town. My wife and I got off early and walked back to the hotel, just because we had had enough.
Bus got stranded by Brooklyn Jail
, Aug 2019
The bus broke down by the jail and they could not get another bus to come pick us up. There were no process and procedures being followed. We had to find the subway to get back to hotel. No refund was ever offered.

This tour is great, the skyline is incredibly beautiful. Everyone needs to do this tour, also gives you history of this place.
Worst tour guide in the world!!
, Dec 2018
Two stars awarded for a bus being available on time. The tour guide if you can call him that was an elderly oriental man who literally spoke broken English with a thick accent and gave practically no tour info other than a few titbits. The plastic bubble is scratched up and you can’t get photos out of it and if you don’t sit in the bubble you need artic clothing as it is freezing and a very long tour 1 about 2 hours, no heating!!! The ridiculously funny thing was that the old man spent 20 minutes towards the end of the tour pretty much begging for tips by shaking a plastic bag in your face until you coughed up a few dollars. Disappointing really but that’s a truthful account. Maybe another tour guide would be better.
This tour is a scam. Beware.

My husband and I have spent time in and around Manhattan for most of our lives, but were interested to bring our two young sons, who love double decker buses, for a special evening looking at the city. We booked these tickets online, not researching the company or reading reviews. When we arrived at 6:10 at the (indoor) location listed on the online tickets, we waited in line for about 10 minutes in order to get “validated” and receive paper tickets. We were then told we needed to walk a few blocks to the place where the buses pulled up—Times Square. We nudged our way through the thick crowds, holding tightly to the kids’ hands, and arrived at 6:30. The line of people waiting for the bus tour with us was probably three hundred long already. A full city block at least. Double decker buses were pulling up to bring people on, but we knew we would be waiting for at least an hour in packed Times Square to get onto a tour bus. The 6:30 pm tour we signed up for was a scam—the company will sell as many tickets as they can, even if they don’t have enough buses to leave for the tour at the time they state. At 7, we decided to take our losses, forget the bus tour, and bring the boys home by taxi. Please learn from our experience and the time I’m taking to write this review, and do not give your money to this scam.
Greyline Evening Bus Tour
, Oct 2018
We had reserved a 6:30pm, 90 minute tour. When we arrived and checked in 30 minutes early, we learned we had to wait in a long line on the street for an available bus. The line took 45 minutes so we didn't begin until after 6:45. We couldn't understand the tour guide who spoke very quickly. The sights were good but we didn't get the benefit of any of the actual tour since we couldn't understand the driver. The actual tour was more than 2 hours and we didn't get back until after 9pm (for a tour that was supposed to end at 8pm). I would highly recommend a different tour company.
Tour was awful: tour guide didn't...
, Aug 2018
Tour was awful: tour guide didn't speak english and was just screaming. He didn't explain anything about the city. He was totally unprofessional. Recorded Italian audio wasn't real Italian. Please Viator, drop this tour: you should have controlled reliability of tour company. We asked for partial refund, but haven't received anything yet.
