Helpful in learning the city real fast

I’ve been to New Orleans a lot over the years, but it seems that I never got too far away from the French quarter and Casino. Now that I’m a more mature adult, I decided to do this tour. It really helped me understand what’s in the area, learn some history, and pick out some spots that we will go back to again before leaving and spend a bit of time there.

The bus was really hot. I don’t feel like we spent a lot of time on anything but the graveyards. People on the bus complained the whole time.

My favorite tour on this trip. I learned so much and didn’t have to walk everywhere to learn it. Our driver was knowledgeable of the city and super funny.

Pickup and drop off for guests seemed disorganized. The first bus we boarded was perfect. You could see straight ahead. They made us board a second bus right after pickup and this bus was bigger. The entire front of the bus was blocked giving no access to see what the driver was pointing out. This was highly disappointing as we sat near the front. I expect anyone in the front had a similar experience. Hopefully this is just a challenge due to getting back up and running after pandemic.

Gary Kuhn was our guide and he was the perfect mixture of funny and informative. I really appreciated the part of the tour when he talked about the effects of Katrina, it helped me understand the tragedy and what the city has gone through. We really enjoyed the route that he took and the stop at Cafe Du Monde. One unique, helpful thing that he did was he texted his guests places to visit after the tour, and places to eat. He also offered to drop us off at the French Market and it was so helpful! Overall a great tour and would recommend to any new guests in the city of New Orleans!
