Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Cash part was my favorite. I just felt like some artists were missing but overall happy with my experience.

There is a lot of information to share. If you like Johnny Cash, there was a big display. The place is very interactive. The phone app didn’t work! Very disappointed in this. It would have helped so much to hear the history behind what you were looking at in the displays. It was hard to follow a path through the museum.

Really enjoyed seeing all the musical instruments that the players used on so many great songs! An excellent gift shop, too!

Parking ruined the experience

The museum, of course, was outstanding. The big issue that added stress to our day was the parking. $2.25 for 15 minutes? Really? We pulled up to a meter because everything we read said there was ample parking around the museum. Tell me...who has enough quarters for a 2-hour stay at those rates? So we went to a parking ramp. Same prices. The QR reader wouldn’t accept our license plate number for some screwed up reason. So we paid at the ticket machine and put in 2 hours. It ended up not being enough time, so one of us ran back to buy another hour. There was time left on the first ticket, and we thought that the leftover time would be added to the first purchase since it was the same license plate. Nope. So we lost time and ended up with only 45 minutes of time to work with. We came, we saw. We won’t bother to come to Nashville again any time soon.

Loved the Johnny Cash, mobile recording studio, interactive instruments you can play on a stage. Plus the entire collection of memorabilia is just amazing.

It was really great to experience the ways a song is made. From playing with different instruments to learning all that goes into a song and then actually getting to sing a song
