Ok-ish with a little cultural glitch

The guide, Roman, knew what he was talking about. Had a good grasp of his country's history. However, might need to be a little more sensitive to any cultural references specially, I am Asian, unlike the others in the tour. I was a bit offended on his reference to a motorcycle that we saw on the street "there's a lot of that where you came from?" No, I am not from Vietnam. And "it's not made in Vietnam" referring to a piece of fabric. He obviously cannot tell Asians apart. At this point, I totally shut down from what he was saying and just took photos.

There were just 3 of us in the tour, so it felt intimate, private and personalized. The guide could use a voice magnifier because it was difficult to hear her sometimes.

The Day trip to Tallinn is well planned out, I was picked up from a hotel near mine in the morning and taken to the Ferry terminal for the ride to Tallinn. The ferry services are very easy to use both to and from Tallinn with good food and shopping on board to pass the time. Once in Tallinn we were greeted by our tour guide who was very friendly and had lots of knowledge about the Old Town and Estonia. The walking tour lasted about 3.5 hours at a steady pace and after this we had 3 hours of free time to explore, shop or visit museums in the area before taking a shuttle back to the ferry. Very enjoyable and informative and great for couples or solo travellers as it is a small intimate group of 7 on the tour

Tallin’s Old City is definitely worth visiting, and a day trip from Helsinki is right in terms of time and comfort. The ferry is quite good. I think the 3 hour guided tour needs to be modified. It should have a break in the middle for people to grab something to eat, go to the bathroom, etc. We didn’t see any public bathrooms in the city, so a break is quite necessary. Our guide was helpful and enthusiastic, but her English was rather poor, so we missed some of her explanations. ,

Julia was a lovely guide who showed myself and another couple around the old town of Tallinn. For the price paid I would have expected hotel drop off to be included also, especially in terms of safety as a solo traveller arriving back in the dark. Not a lot of communication from the travel company but all in all a nice day.

This tour was totally worth it an very interesting, but make sure everyone in your party is in good shape or prepared to sweat. There were so many hills, we did over 10,000 steps in the 3 hour tour and climbed 6 flights of stairs! Totally worth it to see all the amazing architecture but man were we all tired after.

Excellent trip … It started with punctual hotel pick up in hotel at Helsinki coffee on the ship and then in Tallinn we were greeted by Julia a well educated and very beautiful tour guide with profound knowledge of ancient and current Estonian history. Highly recommended tour
