This activity will end right where it started.
Board your coach in Florence, and travel into the hills of Tuscany where the city of Siena awaits. Opt to take a guided tour of the city with a visit to Siena Cathedral to admire its renowned Gothic architecture. Or, make the most of some free time to set your own pace, and perhaps enjoy a coffee in the sun alongside the locals.

From Siena, return to the Tuscan countryside to explore the Chianti wine region. Stretch your legs with a stroll through a vineyard, olive grove and wine cellar, and refuel with a Tuscan winery lunch. As you sit surrounded by the grape vines, meet other visitors to the area and indulge in local treats such as cold cuts of meat, salad, pasta and fresh bread. Even better, a wine tasting takes place at the same time (not included in the tour option without lunch, guests will instead spend more time in San Gimignano)'

After lunch, journey onward to San Gimignano with its medieval towers, cobbled streets and squares. Explore the town’s historic center, cool down with a refreshing gelato and wander amid the 14 towers as you learn about their history.

Travel from San Gimignano to Pisa: your final stop of the day. Follow your guide to Cathedral Square to discover Pisa Duomo, Pisa Baptistry, the monumental cemetery (aka Camposanto) and, of course, the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Return to Florence in the early evening, and finish your Tuscany tour with a drop-off at the start point.

Memorable and interesting trip

We had a wonderful experience visiting Sienna, San Gimignano, and Pisa. Alessandro is a great guide, knowledgeable about history and culture of Tuscany. We appreciated his helpful logistical tips. The driver, Gaspare, was amazing, navigating narrow medieval streets and keeping us safe.

Everything was very well organized. But the highlight of the trip was the lunch at the winery, the food and the wine were delicious, not to mention the views! It can be exhausting for some people because it’s a lot in a few hours but it’s a great way to explore Tuscany if you have little time. Totally recommended!

Our tour guide Gabriel and driver Daniel were wonderful. Gabriel was articulate and gave a good amount of history to put everything in context. He had interesting stories that made the tour fun. Beautiful drive. Thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour in Siena and the visit to the organic farm/winery. Incredible scenery and fascinating history. Just a fun and memorable experience.

Great Lunch . . . Not a Great Tour
Larry_A

To be fair, we aren't "tour" people - we like to do things on our own, but we booked this because we had family with us who otherwise wouldn't get to see these awesome areas. Pros - the "Tuscany Lunch" was AWESOME - amazing food, great wine tasting and really friendly beautiful location Cons - As another tour member pointed out to our tour guide during our tour - "this is called Walkabout Tours not "Runabout" - our tour guide walked FAST, now I walk pretty fast, but I couldn't keep up with her, nor could the children, elderly people, my mother in law who has an injured foot . . . or most of the regular tour members. Also, she kept going through busy areas and losing tour members who we then had to wait to find us. Secondly, and perhaps this was our error, but the suggestion from the tour description is that this tour drops you off in the towns and then picks you up . . . it doesn't. It drops you off at the local bus stations, well outside the town centers (and at the bottom of the hill) and then your tour "leader" speedwalks you to the center of town which she claimed was a "5 min walk", but that is only true if you are basically running. Please understand when I say this, I walk fast, I have trouble walking around with friends and not ending up 20 feet in front of them, but I couldn't keep up with this woman, and nor could most of our 40 person tour. Other tour participants were also very frustrated and when made aware of this our tour "leader" slowed down . . . for about 1 min before speeding back up again claiming that we had a schedule to keep . . . not our fault if you are off schedule, or if the tour promised more than it could give.

Our tour guide(Olivia) was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Also a shout out to the driver Gaspare! The food and wine tasting was fantastic again with amazing hosts at the farm. Sienna and San Gimignano were beautiful vibrant, and breathtaking and the local tour guide in Siena (Roberta) was engaging with the history of the town. Pisa was brilliant!

Wonderful tour with Sara as our tour guide, she was very easy to understand, thorough and really looked after all 60 of us on the coach! It is a long day (12 hours+), but totally worth it! Excellent lunch and wine tasting in Tuscany, it exceeded my expectations. Make sure to pack water and snacks to keep you going through the day!

This was great day trip...

This was great day trip -- we started in Florence in the early morning. The guide was very knowledgeable and provided lot of historic information. There was plenty of time at each of the stops to explore on your own. The winery lunch was excellent. In future, the tickets to Pisa tower should be included (as option).

Disappointed by attitude of tour operator

I really enjoyed going to Siena as well as having lunch at the farm. I wish we had longer to tour the farm before lunch, we should skip the second city as it was such a long day. I enjoyed climbing the tower of Piza, although I was very disappointed that our guide said I was not allowed to do so by myself since I am a person who is blind. Supposedly this is a law in Italy.

A Great Day Out
Charles_H
, Aug 2022
The tour has a good balance of free time to explore and guided elements to certain locations. It was a big group (a full coach load) but did not feel like it as they really made sure everyone was ok and if there were any questions people had ample opportunity to ask. Olivia was great and very knowledgeable and really took the time to talk to and help everyone. The coach was very comfortable and had good air con!

Taste of Tuscany
Kelly_B
, Aug 2022
I wanted to show my daughter Tuscany on our Europe trip and this was a perfect taste of Tuscany! We started the tour in the beautiful, well preserved city of Siena. We enjoyed learning the history of the city from a local guide. Then we were off to an organic farm/winery for an amazingly delicious meal and wonderful local wine. Next we journeyed to the darling town of San Gimigiano where we took beautiful pictures and had local gelato. Lastly, we were off to see the leaning tower of Pisa. What a wonder! I wish I had prepurchased tickets to hike to the top as they were all sold out day of. Lastly, I must give accolades to our incredible tour guide Stefano. He gave us such great info about the region and history of the cities. It is a long day but so enjoyable and a fantastic taste of Tuscany!
