Returns to original departure point
Meet your guide in central Edinburgh and travel in a top of the range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach to the Kelpies, passing Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, on the way.

Stop at the Kelpies monument for an up-close look at the 30-meter high horse heads. The sculptures stand as a testament to the horsepower that drove the industrial development of central Scotland.

Afterward, take a back road to Loch Lomond, traveling through the protected lands of Scotland’s first national park: Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Follow a scenic route along the 22-mile-long (35-km) loch’s eastern shore, which is dominated by the oft-climbed Ben Lomond.

Then travel to where the Lowlands meet the Highlands, into the Trossachs or ‘The Highlands in Miniature’. Take in a stunning landscape of steep mountains, shimmering lochs, and thick forests on a nature walk with your guide.

Break for lunch (own expense) in the village of Aberfoyle, located within the National Park, before continuing to the city of Stirling, where you can visit one of Scotland’s most magnificent castles. Opt to take an interior tour independently (own expense) to learn about the castle's history.

Your small-group day trip concludes with the return drive to Edinburgh.

Definitely NOT suitable for the edges nor inform. You have to climb a very rough track for about 20 minutes

Hi Phil, We're glad you enjoyed most of the experience. Walks on our tours are optional and guides should always share practical information to help passengers decide what is/isn't suitable for them. I'm sorry if the information about this walk was unclear and if it presented any challenges for you. Many thanks for your feedback, Aimee

Great Intro tour

This tour is a more laid back tour compared to the Highlands that we also took. But I’d like to say that this is a good introduction to the Scottish Highlands and Scottish history. Our tour guide Adam from Rabbie’s was incredible and he curated an excellent soundtrack that definitely added another level to the tour. He played the perfect music as we approached our respective itineraries. A highly recommended tour.

I loved this tour. The Kelpies were magnificent and my tour was most special because of Douglas and his vast knowledge of all things Scotland as well as his witty humor. Also, He did an exceptional job keeping everyone safe and comfortable in the current climate and I was very impressed with that.

Amazing 1 Day Trip, must see!!

We had a blast with our tour guide Jim S.! Not only was he very knowledgeable, but he also was very funny and went above and beyond during this tour. He explained a lot of facts, imparted quite a few anecdotes with lots of humor, was very graceful and patient and was able to make a small group bus full of strangers all to sing one by one their own national anthem. We most definitely had a blast on this Rabbie's Tour and recommend to anyone who wants to visit Loch Lomond, the Kelpies or Stirling castle to just sign up on this. We will go back to this company to visit more of Scotland next time we go there again!
