Returns to original departure point
Greet your guide, dressed in period costume, at a central Edinburgh location in the dead of night. Immediately, your master storyteller will launch into spine-tingling tales of Edinburgh’s dark and desultory past.

Follow your guide through shadow-shrouded wynds (narrow streets between houses) on your way to a graveyard famous for numerous ghost sightings. Weave your way between headstones and hear terrifying tales of the restless souls that reside here.

Next, descend to the underground vaults that reside beneath the city; in dimmed light, you’ll step tentatively through narrow passageways while listening to tales of torture, murder, witchery, cannibalism, and body snatching.

After 1.5 hours of frights, ascend from the vaults and bid your guide farewell.

EXCELLENT! John the scientist was exceptional very knowledgeable, entertaining and humorous which is an ideal combination for a tour like this. The information given about the history was very well delivered and involved the audience. John was very personable and friendly. Thank you John and we’ll mention you to fellow bedfordians 😀😀

DR Knox was brilliant. He was really informative and funny. The vaults were great. It wasn’t a scary tour which is what I expected and the only reason it’s 4/5 not 5.

When we arrived we arrived 1 minute late and the man in the box andrew was incredibly rude to us and didn’t make us feel welcome at all, the guy was clearly having a bad day as he told us the tour was over and didn’t let us take part and refused to refund us, all because we were 1 minute late! This is a genuine review and I would like a refund as we were both really looking forward to it

Lovely walk, personable guide and great spooky stories

Did this tour last night for our 1 night in Edinburgh. It’s a lovely little walk through the city and Maggie has a great knack for story telling she did a wonderful job. My only concern is that I woke up this morning and my friend is nowhere to be seen. Maggie did say that the last one to leave the vault will end up cursed and will wake up to find themselves back there at midnight. Really hoping he’s there waiting for us when we get there this morning.

It was a very nice experience and the guide was very knowledgeable and a good Entertainer. All in all great experience. However, the guide was walking so extremely fast it was hard to keep up. Also he did NOT wear a top hat.
