Your full-day tour through the Scottish Borders departs in the morning from central Edinburgh. Meet your expert guide and settle in a top-of-the-range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach for the southbound ride through the Scottish-English borderlands toward Kelso. Stop in this historic city that boasts the largest market square in Scotland. Stroll through the market, visit Kelso Abbey, and learn about the conflicts and English invasions that rattled the town for centuries.

Your trip continues to the stunning Alnwick Castle, a gem of the Northumberland region. View the castle’s breathtaking façade, famously portrayed as the setting of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter series. Enjoy plenty of free time to explore the castle's immaculate grounds and purchase an optional interior tour and some refreshments. Then hop back in the coach for a drive along the Northumberland coast, considered one of the UK’s most beautiful regions.

Great day visiting Alnwick Castle with a great tour guide!

A wonderfully relaxing day outside of Edinburgh at Alnwick Castle. The Mercedes Bus was super comfortable. Bruce, our driver and tour guide was a pleasure. He had wonderful stories of history that he shared on the drive. It was very enjoyable and the views are breathtaking. We were so glad we took the tour!

The trip was okay. My driver Martin was great! The first stop in Kelso was okay, the town is cute but not mind blowing. Alnwick is awesome, but 3hrs is a bit much - however the town is really stunning and worth visiting (go have an ice cream, it was really good!). There were way too many kids at the castle and it was too busy. The last stop again was ok but not wow.

Great Rabbits tour! Enough time in each stop to wander around and nice history flow. I would definitely go to another tour with this company.

Fantastic day, excellent tour guide

Our tour guide was Henry excellent and he has the right personality for this role- informative, funny, adaptable, accomodating and at the same time gracious. The day was so well organised. Our one big mistake was going to the converted railway station at Alnwick (now a huge second hand book shop) and ordering lunch there as well. In a word, Don’t! Line up to order took 10 mins, delivery 20mins and the hot beef bread roll was inedible. Go to the Castle instead for far better options.

Jude led the tour and she was fantastic. On past tours I've attended, the driver and tour guide were two different people; on this tour, Jude drove and acted as a guide, taking us to beautiful, picturesque spots on the beach and through small villages, in addition to visiting Alnwick Castle. The Castle and grounds are amazing. It was a great day, great memories!

JIm was our driver. He did a great job of reviewing the history of the castle as it relates to Scottish royal history. Broke up the trip with good stops at interesting spots. Three hours at the castle but could have used 4. Recommend this trip.

My tour guide, Kevin, is very friendly and informative. I enjoyed hearing about some of the most interesting Scottish, Irish, and English stories he had to share along the way. Dan, my driver, was a very welcoming, pleasant, and excellent driver. We had about 3 hours to explore Alnwick Castle on our own and it was wonderful! There's so much to see and do there that I wish we had a bit more time to explore.

Just Good Typical Trip

Alnwick Castle state room shows rich & fame of few hundred years of high ranks people in England. Castle was used for Harry Potter movie 1 & 2 and guide was showing where filmed. But there are so many castle in the region and cost to enter is not worth to go into every one of them.
