Meet your guide in central Copenhagen on your own bike or, if you need to hire a bike (additional cost), arrive in advance to organize the rental.

Don an optional cycle helmet, and set off behind your guide. Your tour largely follows cycle paths, so you are mostly away from traffic.

Pass the waterfront Copenhagen Mall (Fisketorvet) before crossing a bridge to the Brygge area. Then, trace picturesque waterside paths into the quaint Nokken allotment district. Situated along the water, this charming enclave is composed of allotment gardens and quirky, hand-built huts, and houses. Savor the relaxed atmosphere and learn about Nokken’s roots as a fishing community.

Break for coffee and a snack (included) at the Sønderbro Haveforening allotment area, and enjoy a fun ride on Denmark’s only Cuban bicycle—a 3-wheeler with a passenger seat.

Resuming your tour, ride by Sluseholmen, one of Copenhagen’s upscale residential neighborhoods. Admire the innovative canalside townhouses and continue around the flower-filled Frem and Musikbyen allotment quarters into more tucked-away areas—some unknown to many Copenhageners.

Start of ride is from a bike rental shop on the opposite side to the houses and shop It is not visible from the road as you have to go down a drive next to the train line. Cost of bike hire is not included in cost of tour It cost us another 50Dkk each Having seen all the main attractions this was a perfect tour for us. We saw parts of Copenhagen that alot of locals probably haven't seen Although we probably did 20 km it was at a leisurely pace. I have no problems recommending this tour Apparently this tour has only been going for about 3 yrs and was developed by John who takes the tour 99% of the ride is on bike tracks, so very safe

The trip was wonderful - Christian showed us another side of Copenhagen far from tourist crowds. We saw the residential areas, both glamours and working districts, water channels. We were super lucky to be invited in his private country home just 10 minutes from the city by bike and tasted delicious local baked sweets and coffee. A lot of happiness and enjoyed so much our bike trip. Thank you so much, highly recommended!

I am so thankful to have find Jorgen and his Bike tour for the Unknown Copenhagen! it has been an absolute highlight of our trip in Copenhagen. Jorgen is at very first a so sympathic and lovely guide, who knows his city better than anyone and brings you really to places, you definitively NEVER see by yourself! This is guarantee as those places are 100 for locals and not for tourists. Jorgen shows you the different ways people leave in CPH and this is mindblowing, as totally unexpected. If you really wish to visit CPH from a totally new angle and understand this city better, I 10000000 recommend you this tour with Jorgen! My husband and I did this tour in August 2017. We had been to Copenhagen before and didn't need to tour the downtown area again. Our guide was great and took many pictures along the way which he later sent to us. The tour was excellent and we got to see a part of Copenhagen we never would have seen if not on a tour. This tour really focuses on how the people of Copenhagen live rather than taking you to see a lot of historical sights. We cycled through various allotments and other areas where the locals live, all outside the main downtown area. We stopped at our guides's summer home for a coffee and danish and then near the end of the tour went for an optional Danish lunch. Highly recommend if you're looking for something laid back and a bit different.

We had a fantastic day with Jørgen who showed us a completely different side of CPH. We really enjoyed seeing the allotments,canal ways and some of the lesser known suburbs of CPH. This was a fantastic tour. I had visited Copenhagen prior and did not want to see all the touristed spots. Jorgen presents a fascinating picture of parts of Copenhagen you would never see without a local. You will be surprised at every turn. Copenhagen has far more to offer than you could ever imagine. I couldn't recommend it enough. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Copenhagen.
