The tour with a little more depth

Your tour starts with a quick history lesson at the Kastellet Fortress, a talk about city infrastructure specifically green energy, heating and cooling as well as waste management then a stop at the Den Lille Havfrue with a retelling of the H.C. Andersen version of the story. You will then see St. Albans Anglican church and the Gefionspringvandet fountain and statue with an explanation of Norse mythology. There are also stops at Rosenborg Castle, Church of the Holy Spirit, Trinitarian Church, Rundetaarn, Kobenhavns Universitet and the tour ends at Vor Frue Kirke/Copenhagen Cathedral. Yes, there are a lot of stops but this is a tour totally worth checking out especially if you already took an introductory or highlights tour.

This tour would have been fantastic- the history background given by our tour guide was great- but this tour should NOT have been scheduled for 3pm (in December). We didn’t realize it’s dark at 3:45p when we scheduled the tour (before arriving), only to find most of the tour was in the dark, and we couldn’t see any of the sights. We ended up spending the next day revisiting most sights so we could see in the light. I thought the tour operator should have either warned this was a ‘dark’ tour or not offered it at this late time in the day. That aside, our tour guide was very, very good and thought he knew the history well.
