This tour was a delight. Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, Maria, began the tour with cheeses, so we knew it was going to be a great tour. And we were right ~ it was a great tour. We tasted delicious food; Maria also told us about her grandparents’ lives in Copenhagen; and, Maria told us Danish Christmas traditions. The foods were fantastic and Maria was a charming host. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Maria and we highly recommend it.

The tour was great! Learned a lot about Danish Christmas traditions, ate a nice variety of foods and drank well too. In fact, we ate more than I expected that we’d be offered, so make sure you don’t eat beforehand. Not a huge amount of walking and most of the tour was centred around the market where you start so not a lot of sightseeing, but that was fine for us. The tour really made me fall in love with Denmark ❤️

Great tour with Marie! She was an excellent and well informed tour guide with both the food eaten at Christmas and the history of Christmas traditions in Denmark. As well as being informative she made our small group very welcome and relaxed and the tour was a lot of fun. Recommend this tour to everyone visiting Copenhagen at Christmas.

This was an amazing tour! Maria, our native Copenhagen born guide was splendid. She brought the traditional Christmas food tastings to life with her informative explanations of Christmas in Copenhagen. We were lucky to have wonderfully warm fellow travelers from England, Australia, Austria and my daughter and I from the US. Well worth the time and very reasonable price. Be sure to bring home some of the wonderful food tasted on the tour. Thank you Maria!!! My husband, 16 yr-old son and I went on this tour and loved it. We really enjoyed being introduced to the foods and drinks of Copenhagen Christmas. The group was small and very friendly. The food and drink were plentiful. Do not eat before this tour! Wish I was there now drinking glog.

What a wonderful tour! We sampled some truly delicious food from wine to cheese to sweets. My favorite stop on the tour was the shop where everything was from Bornholm. We went back later in our trip to buy the jam and licorice that we were able to sample, as well as tea from Tante T. Maria was such a wonderful guide, and we were able to spend a little extra time with her sampling beers at a local brewery. It was a great opportunity to learn more about life in Copenhagen!
