Day Trip From Cluj - Turda Salt Mine,Turda Gorge and Rimetea Village :)

Tudor is a great tour guide, very friendly and easy to talk to. He picked me up at my accomodation on time. The tour was fun, informative from beginning to end and definitely worth it. It's also nice for solo travellers that want to spend a day in good company. I can highly recommend to do this tour with him. Such an memorable experience.

Despite the rain we had a great trip! Everything was really well organized and a lot of fun. It felt more like traveling with a friend, so I really recommend this tour, especially as a solo traveler!

Tudor, the curly guide, has been great! We started with a spectacular tour of the salt mines: an impressive experience, that also included some rowing 🚣‍♀️ at the bottom of the most spectacular of caves. That was followed by a wonderful hiking and a visit to a beautiful hidden town. A must for everyone visiting Transylvania!!!

Tudor is one of the best guides I have ever had while traveling. He was on time to pick us at our hotel. The car was super comfortable and he drove smoothly, we did not feel unsafe at any time. We went directly to Salina Turda. The entrance fee was included in the tour. We receive interesting information and managed to avoid the great groups also visiting the place. It started raining, we ate a lángos outside Salina Turda, delicious, then tried to plan what to do in case the rain continued. Tudor thought of several solutions. We were lucky and could visit the Rimetea gorge, even if we could not walk over it due to the difficulty rain could bring. But even so, just walking back and forth the gorge was delightful. We chatted a lot, it's nice to have someone who knows how to hold a conversation. In Rimetea we had a delicious meal (gulyás) and homemade palinca. I would DEFINITELY book another tour with Tudor in case I am back to Romania. The gorge can be challenging for people with walking issues, since at times the ground is irregular, slippery and one has even to use a rope to keep oneself safe.

Well guided excursion to the salt mines, very informative, then great hiking, for which you must be a little bit physically prepared as the road is rocky:) but it worth doing that, because the nature and the views are amazing

Tudor is an incredible man. Friendly, funny, knowledgeable. It was an absolute joy to spend the day with him. We did the salt mines, the gorge hike (and the extra bonus of walking back high on the cliffs, maybe not the best idea I've ever had but still fantastic), and a really cool village for dinner. But mostly, it was his company. Do yourself a favor, call Tudor. Next time I'm here, he's going to get to show me something else.
