With its 11th-century origins, Bergen is as rich in history as it is large in size. Its downtown cultural sights are set against a backdrop of mountain scenery, making it a visual treat to explore. Discover Bergen’s beauty, and learn about it, too, while aboard your hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus. 

Show your voucher to the driver, and then hop on board at any of the 13 stops around town. Plug in your audio guide to learn about Bergen and its sights, and hop off whenever and wherever you like. If you prefer, stay on board for the full 45-minute loop. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours from the time of first use.

Perhaps take a stroll around Fisketorget, Bergen’s famous fish market that’s home to colorful flowers as well as fish. Have your camera ready to capture photos of the vibrant wood houses that make up the UNESCO World Heritage neighborhood of Bryggen. Or, disembark near the Fløibanen cable car for a panoramic ride to Mt Fløyen where majestic views await.

Other attractions you may want to hop off and visit include St Mary’s Church, Frederiksberg Fortress, and the Edvard Grieg Museum, home to memorabilia about the Bergen composer. Entrance fees to all attractions are at your own expense.

This was the most disappointed and unorganized hop on & hop off we’ve ever been in such small town. Only two busses available for use, and one of them was having mechanical problem. They’re an jour behind schedule, and constantly were full. We got off after 10 minutes because of over crowded and not having a good seat to enjoy the trip. If you are considering to visit Bergen, skip this hop on/ off, and just go explore on your own. Rent e-mobility.

The first half of the tour was intersting and well done even on such narrow and busy roads. In our opinion the 2nd half going to the aquarium should be eliminated. it takes a considerable amount of time over rough roads with little to none other worthwhile scenery.

Our tour bus was late because of the rain but the tour was very good. The bus top did allow some water to drip in on the outside seats. Also the front window on the top deck did not have a windshield wiper so the rain made viewing more difficult.

This tour was an excellent choice to see the city of Bergen prior to making a choice where to spend more time depending on my interest. The bus was very clean as well as the city of Bergen. I actually had one of Bergen hot dogs, which is so different from hot dogs sold in the US. Recommendation - be sure to exchange some US money for some Krones before had. You can check the exchange rate on line from various companies.

We took this hop-on hop-off tour on our last day in Bergen. Our plan was to see anything we had not been able to do. The tour was a taped audio tour on a traditional tourist bus. However, the audio and the actual places we were at did not go together. At one point, out driver stopped in a parking lot and waited for 10 minutes. We were never sure of what we were waiting for. I would not recommend this tour. Just walk around Bergen and you will see and learn more.

This is a standard hop on hop off tour like those available in many cities. It picks you up at the cruise dock and takes you around the city. Bergen is a great city with many things to see but it is easily walkable and you don't need the bus to do it.

I think this would have to have been one of my favourite cities on the cruise. Having a cloudless day made it even more enjoyable.There was so much to see and enjoy I didn't know which side of the bus to look at. We did alight at Mt.Floyen and joined the queue to go up in the top. It was amazing how quickly you managed to get to the front of the queue. The view from Mr. Floyen was well worth it and we then decided to walk down the mountain. This zigzagged down the side and did take longer than we had anticipated but was well worth it. Not sure about attempting to climb up that way though.
