Great trip yesterday. The burial place of the Romanovs. Amazing. The prison was v interesting and there is a large gate that opens onto the Neva that makes for a great photo. My guide was really knowledgable. She spoke perfect English and picked me up from my hotel.

Private Tour: Peter and Paul Fortress in St Petersburg
This is an outdoor walking tour and provides an insight into what was happening in St Petersburg in the early 1700's. This what I learned from our guide Olga, who was very knowledgeable and also very personable. She took the time to answer our questions and was careful to confirm we were happy the pace of the tour and to ensure it was focussed on what was important to us. I recommend Olga to be your guide for families.

St Petersburg Highlights:Peter and Paul & Savior on Blood &St Isaac's Cathedrals
This tour is a great introduction to St.Petersburg. We visited the church at the Peter and Paul Fortress and learned a lot about the Romanovs. The Church on Spilled Blood is spectacular. We learned so much by having a guide rather than visiting the church on our own. Our guide spoke very good English, and our driver did a great job battling St. Petersburg traffic.

Private Tour: Peter and Paul Fortress in St Petersburg
Definitely worth the price for a private tour of the fortress. We explored the fortress, cathedral and prison. Elena was wonderful, so highly educated and witty. Great insight into Russian history. Loved the insight that she shared as we toured the cathedral. I truly liked walking through the prison, seeing the multitudes of political prisoners who have called it home over the years. Great guide!!!!

Private Tour: Peter and Paul Fortress in St Petersburg
This was a really worthwhile tour. We had plenty of time to see everything with a very pleasant knowledgeable guide. If you are coming in on a cruise ship or ferry, you don't need a visa. I hope very much to take another tour with this company when I come back to St Petersburg.

Excellent trip. Thoroughly enjoyed the peter and Paul fortress. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We are of an age where we had head of the Tsar and his family. It was nice to see their last resting place.
