The Basics

St. Patrick’s is a New York icon and rich in the city’s lore: F. Scott Fitzgerald wed Zelda Sayre at the cathedral, and Babe Ruth’s funeral was held here. Today, St. Patrick’s awes visitors with its white marble edifice, enormous bronze doors, and numerous altars. A recent restoration, which involved cleaning and repairing the cathedral’s interior and exterior, means St. Patrick’s looks more impressive than ever.

Thanks to its accessible location in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, St. Patrick’s Cathedral is a popular stop on hop-on hop-off bus tours, private driving and walking tours, self-guided audio tours, bicycle tours, and more. During the festive season, the cathedral is additionally included in a number of Christmas-themed itineraries. St. Patrick’s also offers guided group tours that you can book in advance, plus open public tours held at 10am on select days.

Excellent Tour!
Rachel & Manny were most excellent (again). We took the day tour with them last year. Rachel has a lot of history and backstories for just about everything we saw on the trip.

Buster's enthusiasm, stories, songs, and surprise sites made this a great nighttime adventure! Seeing the city at sunset in a glass-top bus is the way to go.

The tour was great. Randall clearly knows the cathedral well and loves it. He had a lot of great information, he answered a lot of questions, and he just generally made the tour a great experience.

St Patrick's Cathedral Official Audio Tour
Nice audio tour, would have liked a little more history of the building, perhaps a little longer - or option for a more in-depth tour.

Tour and tour guide was exceptional and made the experience brilliant, Only downside did not do the visit to the edge as informed we would have to make our own way back, was understood by site that we were collected and dropped at same location

Only bad thing was when the edge closed the observation deck and no tour guide was with us to help us. But when I contacted you the US guide tour company, they sorted it out smoothly.

St Patrick's Cathedral Official Holiday Tour
We have visited the Cathedral many times but to hear Cardinal Dolan and others explaining the different aspects of the Cathedral was powerful especially as a Catholic. However, non Catholics would enjoy the history and explanations of the various Saints.

Private New York City Christmas Walking Tour
Our tour was awesome. Our guide not only showed us all the amazing lights but added interesting history of the area. She also catered the trip to what we wanted to see and took very nice pictures of us by the tree to have. Would highly recomend, a great way to see New York City during Christmas time.

New York City Tour with Driver-Guide and Separate Guide Option
This experience was even more fabulous than I thought it would be! So much better than jockeying for a good seat on an overcrowded bus! I highly recommend having the separate guide as Dan was able to tell us wonderful facts about what we were seeing when we left the car, while Robert the driver could drive around or wait for us. Robert also gave us some good facts. The two worked well together even though this was their first time. They totally customized what we saw to our interests which can be hard with two teenage boys in tow. My oldest was fascinated to see what he was learning about in his US history classes. Of course we were blessed with amazing weather but I believe they would have made it great even if it were raining. I wish i could give it 10 stars.

New York City at Night Bus Tour
Rachel was amazing! She gave us insight into the city of New York as well as how to *be* a New Yorker: where to shop, eat, even use the subway. Highly recommended. Note this is not a bus ride only. There is walking involved for a full tourist experience.
