Head into town for a walking tour of the historic and photogenic architecture; catch a ferry to explore Delos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; embark on a 4WD safari around the island; or pick a beach for a day of sunbathing, snorkeling, and swimming in the Mediterranean waters. Most large cruise ships dock at the port in Tourlos or anchor in the harbor and tender passengers to the old harbor. Cruise lines typically offer shuttle service from the port to the edge of town, but it’s also possible to ride the public bus or take a water taxi.
