* A traveler said: "So much fun and such a great way to get views from the water. Water levels were very low because it is late in the season, but it made for a very calm but fun "white water drift" and allowed me to get amazing photos. Dan or "River Jesus" was so great and made sure we all got the most out of our trip."

The Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River is heavy on scenery, with some fun rapids (depending on the water level/time of year). This is an area where many motion pictures and commercials have been filmed over the years. John Wayne and John Ford filmed a lot of old westerns in this area. Most recently filmed in this area was The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp & Armie Hammer (2013).

Splash your way down the Colorado River through the rapids of Westwater Canyon, where in addition to rugged desert scenery, there’s the chance you could spot wildlife from soaring bald eagles to river otters and beavers. Over the course of a day, hold on tight as your guide helps navigate the Class III and Class IV whitewater, where rapids have names like Sock-It-To-Me, Funnel Falls and Skull. This trip provides an adrenaline rush amidst walls of red rock canyons, and is great for the traveler who loves a challenge and a bit of desert adventure.

* A traveler said: "Such an amazing experience! The team of guides we had were authentic and genuine (shout out to Katie, Greg, Lake, and Ethan); you can tell they truly enjoyed their job and their life. It was truly full service from pick up, drive to and from, rafting and LUNCH! I thought lunch would just be "here are some snacks," but it really was an actual lunch. The rapids were exciting and provided an adrenaline rush. The guides gave us safety tips and were clearly competent and confident if something were to happen. I was curious to see where the overall 'half' start came from and after reading other reviews, I could see why ppl might be bummed about their experience. That being said, I would recommend/suggest that you 'claim' a paddle boat if that is what you want. An option might be for Navtec to offer an optional upgrade to guarantee a spot in the paddle boats. Other reviewers mentioned no A/C (*eye roll), long drive (*eye roll*), and small rapids. Navtec can't control the rhythm of the rapids or the water levels, so I don't think they should be faulted for that. Overall, I would highly recommend, absolutely worth the price point, and I'm ready to do it again."

In Canyonlands National Park, there’s a rugged beauty to the natural surroundings unlike anywhere else in the country, where the reddish brown rocks and enveloping silence create an isolated amphitheater of calm. That is, of course, unless you’re shrieking and smiling while splashing down Class V rapids as you raft through Cataract Canyon. On this 100-mile (160-km) full-day journey experience unforgettable scenery from the seat of a motorized raft. Able to handle both whitewater and flat water, this raft is the perfect method of transport for rafting in Canyonlands National Park.

Desert Highlights is Moab's original canyoneering guide service. This canyoneering and packrafting tour visits route that Desert Highlights' founder created as a technical guided canyoneering route in the late 1990's. Here, we explore a part of the canyon that most people would not visit on their own. With the use of ropes and other technical gear, a competent guide and a sense of adventure, we are able to explore areas that are otherwise inaccessible. We'll also use one-person, inflatable boats (packrafts) to enjoy a scenic float along the Colorado River. These boats are fun, unique and not used by any other company in Moab. The Moab desert is our home and we are passionate about sharing it with others. During your guided tour, you will not only safely descend a beautiful, water-carved canyon and float a beautiful section of the Colorado River, but you will learn about the flora and fauna, geology and history of the area that we are so lucky to call our backyard.
