The Basics

If you’re heading to the beaches of West Maui to surf or sunbathe, chances are you’ll pass through the chilled-out town of Lahaina. Take some time to relax here on the popular Kaanapali beach, where you can also swim or snorkel, or head to Lahaina harbor for snorkel tours and whale-watching expeditions.

You can also head to Napili Beach, which is known for its good surf, and sign up for surf lessons or watch the sunset on a sleek catamaran. In the evening, make your way to Lahaina’s Front Street’s restaurants, or attend a traditional Luau.

The perfect excursion to kick off our trip!
We had a terrific morning on the water with Captain Emma and First Mate Christina. On the way to Lanai, they found whales, bottlenose dolphins and spinner dolphins for us to watch. When we moved on to our two snorkeling sites, they made sure everyone was comfortable in and out of the water and told us the best spots to find the marine life we were looking for. We swam with a bunch of sea turtles and even a reef shark. And the Wiki Wahine lived up to her name - the views and speed were awesome!

Maui Segway PT Guided Tours in Lahaina
Just the riding of the Segway is fun and worth the experience. I wish the tour guide would have been a little more knowledgeable about the history of Lahaina. He was really focused on the safety aspect and I guess that was his main role.

Chris and especially Sarah were so kind and friendly. Sarah was awesome on making sure everyone was safe and comfortable going into the water. You will definitely see schools of dolphins! Even baby dolphins ❤ When snorkeling at the turtle cleaning zone you will come so close to the turtles. It is so breathtaking. This tour is a MUST 💯🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🐵🤙🏻🤙🏻

Lanai Snorkel and Dolphin Watch from Lahaina
Seeing the spinner dolphins on the way back to Lahaina. The snorkeling was good and the staff was very polite. They had life guards out in the water with you which made me feel safe especially with kids.

Maui Sunset Dinner and Dance Cruise from Lahaina Harbor
The cruise was fun, good food, attentive staff, live music. . . Only suggest is to start at 5 instead of 5:30 because the sun had set before leaving port.

Lanai Snorkel and Dolphin Watch from Lahaina
I highly recommend this specific tour. It provided an educational background of the fish we might encounter when snorkeling, dolphins, and the Hawaiian islands. Breakfast, lunch and drinks were offered. Staff was courteous, helpful and in high spirits. When my husband was having some problems snorkeling, a staff was very patient and did not leave us. He made sure we’re okay. There were also lifeguards overlooking everyone snorkeling.

Cpt Chad and Cpt Lacey gave us a great day on the water. Spotted some early season whale tails on our way to snorkel off Lanai. Great snacks. Ended the trip swimming with sea turtles.
