The Basics

With a glimpse of snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, Amboseli National Park is known for its large herds of elephants roaming the grasslands. You’ll likely see a variety of other animals too, such as cheetahs, spotted hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. As you explore habitats like wetlands with sulphur springs, savannah, and woodlands, you may even catch sight of lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, or rhinos. Visiting the park’s Maasai community is also an option.
