Ural Ataman Classic Car Museum
Located in the coastal neighborhood of Tarabya, Istanbul’s Ural Ataman Classic Car Museum is a mecca for vintage-car enthusiasts. Housed in a 21,528-square-foot (2,000-square-meter) space, the private museum features over 60 classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles from 1920 to 1970, complete with retro music, decoration, and ambience.
The Ural Ataman Classic Car Museum is divided into two sections. In the first section, the ground floor houses American cars and motorcycles, primarily from the 1950s and 1960s, accompanied by a re-created 1950s diner with neon signs and a jukebox playing midcentury hits. The second section, on the upper floor, houses the museum’s European car collection, accompanied by a re-created European bar. In addition, there’s a small library, model racetrack, and other collectibles.
Highlights of the collection, all of which is in pristine condition, include a 1952 Jaguar XK120 Roadster, a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette, a 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, and a 1960 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II.
