Get to know the city through the eyes of a passionate local. With no set itinerary, you can customize the tour or leave it up to the local for an insightful introduction to the city. Make travel about the people you meet not just the places you see. With our walking tours, you’ll skip the mundane historical tours and discover the city through a local’s eyes. Experience a tour that will transform the way you travel to make it as much about the people you meet, as it is the places you see. Our local guides (Lokafyers) are passionate about their city and eager to share their knowledge and perspective. Since Lokafyers are not professional guides and tour occasionally, they provide an experience that’s authentic and personal, like a friend showing you around their city. By the end of the tour, you'll feel comfortable navigating the city and confident that you have all the information you need to make the most of your stay.

Find a hidden Glen in Scotland's woods

Find a hidden Glen in Scotland's woods

star-5

We'll embark upon a journey whereby we get you to a mystical place, where we'll delve deep into forrest, enjoying the song of the birds and the gushing sound of the gorge underneath us, walk along the gorge, looking down at the amazing waterfalls and taking pictures of it. Then we will get to an ancient "staircase", where we need to climb down, using the ropes alongside the "stairs" and once we get to the bottom, we'll gaze upon an amazing gorge between the rocks covered with moss, crystal clear water, cold as ice, but a place looking like a haunted scenery out a fairy tale. This is Finnich Glen, that locals thought of being a place of the devils, an isolated and remote looking area, that gives you the chills and excitement in the same time. No wonder this place has been used as a scenery for the Outlander movie.

Glasgow through the ages: An audio tour discovering the city's humble beginnings

Glasgow through the ages: An audio tour discovering the city's humble beginnings

Join me on this self guided audio tour through the oldest part of Glasgow. We’ll start at Glasgow Cathedral, where we’ll meet St Mungo, the city’s patron saint, and learn about Glasgow’s humble beginnings 1,500 years ago. We’ll bustle along Glasgow’s High Street next, where a small city had started to take shape 900 years later, in the 1400s. It was busy with the thousands of pilgrims who came to worship at the shrine of St Mungo. In the 1700s, there were Tobacco Lords on the High Street, and Glasgow had become “the cleanest and beautifulest and best built city in Britain,” according to one English visitor. (He did add, “London excepted,” but in Glasgow we like to forget about that.) On the way, you’ll see: A herb garden filled with medicinal plants Street art that tells the story of the city A roundabout on which stands the steeple of a building once used as a prison A greenhouse of exotic plants in the shape of an upside down ship

GREENOCK (GLASGOW) SHORE EXCURSION: Scotland Adventure Sightseeing Day Trip Tour
"We booked this tour after being cancelled by another company less than a week before we were scheduled to arrive in Greenock. This cancellation was actually a blessing in disguise since I don't think we could have had a better time than we did with Frank and Patrick with Busy Bus Tours. We visited 2 castles, Loch Lomond, Luss, Invernay with other planned stops. Never felt rushed but did feel well cared for and appreciated the individual time spent with us. Strongly recommend this shore excursion which is much cheaper than a similiar one the ship offered. Thank you Frank and Patrick for a very enjoyable day and a highlight of our trip."..."
