The Basics

Hidden away among the wooded valleys of the Campsie Fells, Glengoyne Distillery is celebrated for both its scenic location. Choose from a number of tours and tastings, which usually give you the chance to peek into the legendary Warehouse No.1, take a Malt Master tour, or indulge in a whisky tasting masterclass.

Many tours combine a visit to Glengoyne with time in Loch Lomond. Opting for an excursion means that you don’t have to worry about driving after indulging in a few drams of whisky, as Scotland has particularly strict drink driving laws.

Loch Lomond, Stirling, and Glengoyne Distillery Tour from Edinburgh
Perfect day out of Edinburgh. Great stops and Glengoyne is a wonderful small distillery to visit. Lots of information from our lovely tourguide John (or Lord John that he wanted us to call him:))

Loch Lomond, Stirling, and Glengoyne Distillery Tour from Edinburgh
This tour has something for everyone. A fantastic castle with beautiful views of Scotland, a cute village for lunch, stunning scenery with Loch Lomond and a really interesting tour of whisky making and tasting. All brought together by our tour guide (Josh) with his great humor, interesting stories and smatterings of history and “useless facts” that could win you a pub quiz :)

Things to Know Before You Go
