Uffizi Galleries (Gallerie degli Uffizi)

Tues–Sun 8:15am–6:50pm
Piazza degli Uffizi, Florence, Tuscany, 50125

The Basics

Due to its immense popularity, the Uffizi Galleries is prone to long lines and extensive wait times—it's best to book skip-the-line admission to maximize your time. The gallery features a number of long, winding art-filled hallways, making it near-impossible to see everything on display, so small-group guided tours and self-guided audio tours are recommended to help you see the top pieces and give some context to the works you’re viewing. A visit is often combined with a stop at the nearby Accademia Gallery, which houses the Statue of David.

Early Access: Guided Uffizi Gallery Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket
Angelo was our tour guide for the Uffizi. He was incredible. A tremendous wealth of knowledge and humor. He was just fantastic. If you can request Angelo, he was just great. Had a lot of insight, knowledge, and humor. He made the tour a truly memorable experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We traveled in December 2020 so the crowds weren't bad given the off season and ongoing Covid issues in Europe.

Very informative tour guide. Loved the small group - there were 7 of us. Was able to see “David” at the Accadamia and Botticelli and others paintings at the Uffizi. No waiting in long lines!

Uffizi Gallery: skip the line tickets
It was not “skip the line” - the guide has the ticket and you queue with the groups. BUT I was delighted not to have to navigate buying tickets. I arrived 2 minutes early and the guide was already on the phone calling me to check where I was. She came to find me which was nice. The guide Vittoria was excellent and spoke good English. It was a great tour showing us the most important works in a small group. I definitely recommend.

Uffizi Gallery Small Group Tour with Guide
Gayla was a wonderful guide and helped us make the most of our half day tour of the Uffizi. We learned a lot and enjoyed every minute. The meeting place was clearly communicated, which started the day off stress-free. The Uffizi has amazing paintings and sculptures and is not to be missed!

Florence Full Day Tour with David, Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and More
Excellent 6.5 hour walking tour of key highlights of the galleries. Our guide, Ciara (SP?) was really knowledgeable. She was fun and personable and filled with facts. She knew short cuts to take in the galleries to maneuver through the crowds. She shared fascinating information and details - This kept my attention throughout the tour. We had an hour break for lunch on our own - so that was helpful in keeping that much museum time very workable. We felt it was a five star tour!

Excellent tour, not too long, but just enough.

Uffizi Gallery Private Tour with 5 Stars Guide
Our private tour guide Maria was so knowledgeable about the Museum. She transported us though time while guiding us through the different centuries of the museum. She was also very protective of us, making sure no one was disruptive during the tour, and gave us the absolute best 5 star service. The tour was just long enough for me, about an hour and a half.
